Product Description
The General Electric M134 Minigun entered service with the US Army in 1963 and was quickly adapted for aircraft use. The gun was contained in a pod which could be either suspended on pylons or mounted inside aircraft fuselage on a special mount. When used internally, in gunships the front half of the pod was usually left off, exposing the six rotating barrels.
The SUU-11/A pod was used extensively on aircraft and helicopters during the wars in Indochina, and as a training gun pod with a number of airforces.
This High Planes accessory set includes two 3D printed gun pods. Before using, the parts should be washed with laundry detergent and primed with spray primer. Priming and light sanding may be needed to remove print strata marks.
