    Product Description

    This High Planes set includes the parts needed to correct the undersized nacelles and cowls of the Academy Consolidated PBY-4 Catalina kit.  It represents the most common engine arrangement for the PBY-4, with the oil cooler on the upper nacelle.  Some PBY-4 airframes, notably those flown by the RAAF, were fitted with the later underside oil cooler used on the PBY-5 and PBY-6.  Refer to period photographs for details.  For versions with the oil cooler under the nacelle, see our set HPA072092.

    • Oil Coolers (PU resin)

    NOTE:  The propeller blades are very fine and may distort in shipping. If this happens, simply dip in hot water for 10-15 seconds to reshape to the correct shape.
